It is with great sadness that the family of Lloyd G. Crites announces his passing after a brief illness, on April 20, at the age of 84 years. Lloyd will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Nancy; and his children, Lloyd B. (Lori) Crites, of Tulsa, Okla., Jackie Henry, of Nevada; stepson, Larry G. Cecil, of San Diego, Calif.; and sister, Nadine Moore, of Nevada; as well as nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Lloyd is predeceased by his daughter, Debbie G. Crites (2011)...

June Teetor Fecht, 89, Nevada, passed away May 31, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born June 23, 1928, in Lexington, Neb., to George William (Bill) Teetor and Lowrean Rutherford Teetor. June and her siblings moved to Idaho with her mom Lowrean and step-father Harold Stark. In 1946 June graduated high school in Mountain Home, Idaho. June attended nurses training at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho, graduating as a registered nurse in 1949...

A few weeks ago, I watched a car pull out of a gas station and noticed a wallet was sitting on the trunk of the car. I attempted to get the drivers attention as they pulled out but could not get them to notice me. Hi neighbors. I’m enjoying the cooler air today (Thursday morning) after last night’s rain. Tonight I hope to go with my friend Doris to Music on the Square and watch Matthew Harper perform. The first full week of June, Bushwhacker Days will be going on and followed by Flag Day on the 14th and then Father’s Day on the 17th. Although it feels like we’ve been in the middle of summer all of May, summer doesn’t officially start until June 21. I don’t see how it can get much hotter though...
