Sheldon’s Board of Aldermen met in a short regular session Thursday evening with all members present. Mayor Rob Sewell called the meeting to order and the agenda, January minutes and treasurer’s report were approved as presented. Carolyn Sue Daugherty, 75, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family following a short period of illness. Carolyn was born Aug. 6, 1943, and graduated from Nevada High School in 1961. She married Boyd Daugherty and lived and worked in Nevada for 25 years. ...

William (Bill) L. Johnson, 90, passed away at the Bluffs in Columbia on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. Mr. Johnson was a long-time resident of Mexico, Mo. He had resided at the Terrace in Columbia since August 2017.
