The Nevada Lady Tiger volleyball team had their season come to an end in heartbreaking fashion at the Class 3 District 13 tournament in Clinton on Wednesday. The top-seeded Lady Tigers received an opening-round bye. They were then pushed to three sets in the semifinals by No. 5 seed Clinton — prevailing 25- 22, 23-25, 25-15.

Tiger swim team places 11th at Springfield Invitational

The Nevada High School Tiger swim team tied for 11th at the 22-school Springfield Invitational, held Oct. 26 at Foster Natatorium. Nevada's team-finish was highlighted by junior Ben Hines' double-gold medal performance in the 50-yard Freestyle, and 100-Backstroke. Hines' showing in the backstroke set a new Nevada school record — as well as an automatic state-qualifying time.
