Regina Ruth Rasmussen, 63, Nevada, MO passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada. Regina was born September 13, 1957 in Nevada to August and Avis (Morrell) Rusmussen. Regina, a lifelong resident of Nevada, was one of the first students to graduate from the Missouri State School for the Handicapped. Regina is survived by four brothers, Dale Rasmussen, Conifer, CO, Rod Rasmussen (Cindy), Florissant, MO, Jack Rasmussen (Jane), Springfield, MO, and Jay Rasmussen (Dee), Coppell, TX; two sisters, Vicki Yokley (Al), Nevada, MO, and Connie Montague (Doug), Kansas City, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by parents, a sister-in-law, Kathryn Rasmussen, and one brother, Jim Rasmussen; Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Jack Rasmussen officiating. Interment will be held in Ft. Scott National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested in her memory to Cedar Ridge State School PTA c/o Ferry Funeral Home. At this time there is no longer a statewide limitation on the number of people attending funerals or visitations, however those in attendance will be asked to maintain social distancing, and that people are asked to wear face masks to protect themselves and others.
