Having closed to traffic on Sept. 7, 2021, the updates to the overpass over the Missouri and Northern Arkansas Railroad (also known as the U.S. Route 54 bridge) have been completed. Clarence Schoneweather Jr., 92, Richards, Mo., passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Clarence was born on July 20, 1929, in Nevada, Mo., to Clarence Schoneweather and Lula Leona Wolfenbarger Schoneweather. He married Norma Jean Lowry on June 28, 1947, in Fort Scott, Kan.
