Local businesses around the downtown Nevada Square, as well as other organizations around Nevada, participated in the Holiday Open House from Thursday evening, Nov. 10 through Saturday afternoon, Nov. 12. Shoppers took advantage of the coffees and hot apple ciders that businesses were giving out due to the cold weather, and also enjoyed a variety of cookies. Christmas decorations were on display in the various businesses and the weekend served as an opportunity to shop local for the holidays...

William Andy Lamb, 78, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, in El Dorado Springs, Mo., under the care of his daughter. He had been diagnosed with metatastic prostate cancer in July 2022. William as born in Joplin, Mo., on June 10, 1944, to William Andy Lamb and Esther Emma (Hughes) Lamb. Affectionately nicknamed "Pal" by his mother prior to his birth knowing that she would have a pal for life...
