Davisson arrested on new charges

Sheldon man arrested last week after allegedly using cameras in Bates County tanning facility faces additional charges in Vernon County of receiving stolen property and invasion of privacy. Bonded out of the Butler jail on a $30,000 bond a Sheldon man, Kirk Davisson, was later arrested in Platte City on a Vernon County warrant charging him with the Class D felony of receiving stolen property and the Class C felony of invasion of privacy shortly afterward. Sheriff Ron Peckman said he obtained a search warrant and led a search in Davisson's residence that turned up a light-bar from an emergency vehicle as well as other evidence. Peckman also alleges that Davisson secretly taped a party at his home last summer.
