In its regular-season softball finale Wednesday evening in Carl Junction, the Nevada Lady Tigers earned an 8-1 victory over the Lady Bulldogs. NHS freshman Maggie Leisure earned the win, pitching all seven frames. With the victory, Nevada improves to 8-15 overall...

The Nevada Lady Tigers easily dispatched the Clinton Lady Cardinals in Thursday night West Central Conference volleyball action. The two-set 25-19, 25-12 victory ups the Lady Tigers record to 15-7 overall (6-2 WCC). The Lady Tigers were led by senior Megan Hold who recorded eight digs and seven kills, while McKinley Ellis dished out 11 assists. In addition, Adrian Bond chipped in with four aces and a pair of blocks...

In Tuesday night volleyball action, the Cottey Comets were dealt a four-set road defeat in Miami, Okla., by Northeast Oklahoma A&M College. The Comets (10-7 overall) opened on a high-note with a 25-15 first set victory. "Game one was a great start," Cottey head coach Marla Kannady-Foreman said.
