The 6th Annual “We The People” Fourth of July celebration in Schell City, was held Saturday night, June 25, in the City Park. It kicked off at 6 p.m. with a free potluck cookout, all of which the food was donated by businesses and the community. Liberty Rebecca Davis, 51, of Nevada, Mo., passed away at her home in Nevada on Saturday, June 25, 2022, after a lengthy battle with ALS. Liberty was born May 21, 1971, in Nevada, Mo., the daughter of Larry Ray and Sherrill Rae (Venter) Moore. Dallas LeRoy Yockey, 84, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. Dallas was born on May 18, 1938, to Bassett Earl and Violet Marie (Austin) Yockey. Dallas grew up in Cedar County and graduated from Eldorado Springs High School.
